Dr. Kenneth Niles comes to us with over three decades of experience as a Family Counsellor and Therapist. He began his practice after graduating from Bible School having done an extra year focusing on Counselling Psychology and he further continued with specialized training in the United States. He has attended several training programmes in Trinidad and Tobago within the ambit of the Ministries of Social Development and Community Development. He also worked as a volunteer lecturer and facilitator in the said ministries. He is also a trained and certified Mediator.
Dr. Niles has also lectured at several fora on varying subjects, which includes Problem Solving and Decision Making, Family/Child Conflicts, Marriage and Family Life, Conflict in the Workplace throughout the Caribbean and Europe. In addition, he is actively involved in building and maturing male leadership at home and abroad. He also lectures at two universities in Trinidad in Social Gerontology and Crisis Intervention and is involved in Trauma and Grief Counselling. Focusing on the development of the male man, Dr Niles is actively involved in building and maturing male leadership at home and abroad. He has released the two volumes of the “Man To Man Trilogy” called “Man To Man: Stepping Out” and “Man to Man: Stepping In”. This husband and father, continues to focus on restoring marital relations and has a strong passion for maintaining successful marriages. He also was a columnist on male issues in a daily newspaper.
